As a follow-up on the running post. I have this psychological thing that when I measure something (how fast i run, how far i can jump, how long i can hold my breath, etc …) I want to “break my record”. Don’t know why.. I guess it’s the alpha male in me. But so.. i went running again - and obviously tried to run faster. Which was a really bad idea as the temperature was several degrees higher / sun burning / no water / … I feel my muscles aching already! but I ran 24:15. Guess I made it 1:30mins harder to do better next time … but at least my secret hunger for records has been stilled. (yeah, records, life controller)
And to not waste this post on silly times / hobbies no one can enjoy. I found video above through weekly tape deck. For some reason I like it a lot. The voice? The guitar sound? The slow pace? ..anyways… its nice.
Oval - Kastell (by Thrill Jockey Records) — simplicity can be so nice.

A December Lake - “Sunlight Saving Time” (live) on Vimeo (via Vimeo) - Honest to blog: this was the first song I wrote with my first band.. now about 8 years ago. The video was shot in 2003 if i’m not mistaken, the little farewel concert of our band at the time. Thomas uploaded some more at his vimeo account, if you’re interested…
